Program areas at Rainbow Dreams Educational Foundation

Rainbow Dreams Academy Charter School is a primary provider of early childhood education, family engagement, and professional development programming and support services in Clark County, Nevada. The program focuses primarily on at-risk youth in under-served populations and currently serves more than 300 students in both Pre-K and Kindergarten. Established in 2007, and initially serving a mere 52 students, Rainbow Dreams Academy Charter School's focus has always been to consistently provide our students with a solid educational foundation, while embracing diversity, encouraging cultural and artistic expression, engaging in community outreach, and helping to develop personal responsibility and accountability habits which directly contribute to their overall academic success. The Rainbow Dreams Academy program has evolved significantly over the years and now includes "Dream Care" our premiere before and after school tutoring program which provides free and reduced cost daily nutritional services to students enrolled in the program. Dream Care also provides students with backpacks containing necessary school supplies and FREE school uniforms. Rainbow Dreams Academy Charter School offers a tuition-free full-day STEM-based academic program and boasts smaller teacher-to-student ratios. RDA Educators, Administrators, and Support Staff are highly qualified and dedicated to making certain that our students have the hands-on support they need to meet the demands and expectations of a challenging curriculum. We strive to create lifelong learners who have a passion for learning and who possess the tools necessary to become contributory members of society and leaders in their community.
RAINBOW DREAMS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: The Rainbow Dreams Scholarship program provides financial assistance to deserving high school graduates who are planning to pursue a college degree. Every year Rainbow Dreams Educational Foundation awards six monetary scholarships of varying amounts to selectees to assist them with meeting the financial demands associated with attending a facility of higher learning. The scholarship program was created to provide financial subsidy for students from lower-income communities who lack the requisite financial resources to meet the consistently rising costs of higher education. Scholarship recipients are carefully screened by a special committee made up of community leaders, local entrepreneurs, and educators serving on a volunteer basis.
LAS VEGAS JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL: For the past two decades Rainbow Dreams Educational Foundation, with the support of various corporate sponsors and community partners, has presented the Las Vegas Juneteenth Festival; an annual celebration commemorating the National Juneteenth holiday. This important event helps us connect valuable community services to students, their families, and the community at large while celebrating African American people and their many invaluable contributions to American culture. The Juneteenth Festival is an opportunity for people of all backgrounds and ethnicities to come together to promote educational equality and economic empowerment. The Las Vegas Juneteenth Festival is a family friendly open-air event that is free to the public and features, live entertainment, music, dance, art, commerce, and more.
