Rainbow Hospice Foundation

The Foundation provides funds to Rainbow Hospice care, Inc. (rhc) to cover the cost of Hospice care for individuals who are uninsured or underinsured to the extent that they do not have the ability to pay for Hospice or palliative care privately. Funding is also provided for staff education, technology and medical equipment purchases to improve care delivery. In 2023, rhc provided care to 741 Hospice patients and 240 palliative care patients. Members of the local community volunteered 8,955 hours to the rhc in 2023. The Foundation granted $92,323 to rhc from the charitable care fund to support patients approved to receive services at a discount or at no charge. $140,946 was granted from funds raised in a campaign to support capital improvements to the memorial garden at the Rainbow Hospice care inpatient center in johnson creek. The Foundation also granted $615,553 to support prior year losses and further development of rhc's supportive care management program which includes palliative care.
