Program areas at RAISE Texas

RAISE Texas strengthens the capacity of nonprofits, promotes access to safe financial services, and supports communities across the state by offering resources, professional development, training, and convenings to advance financial security and economic mobility. In 2023, we provided technical assistance to financial coaching programs, Children's Savings Account initiatives, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to streamline operations, expand services, and improve access. We also delivered nine online training courses for the financial health and asset-building sector. Additionally, we hosted three in-person convenings: our 15th Anniversary Summit at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, bringing together 193 community leaders from 113 organizations; the inaugural Texas VITA Conference, with 80 participants from 38 VITA programs sharing strategies for advancing VITA's essential work; and, a workshop for nonprofit staff on narrative change with Dr. Tiffany Manuel.
