Raksha

Raksha, Inc. Provides free and confidential direct services such as counseling, case management, interpretation, translation, advocacy, career assistance, and other services to south asians. Raksha, Inc. social services include face to face counseling, telephone counseling, facilitating and hosting monthly support groups, promoting cultural sensitivity to law enforcement and social service agencies, and advocacy for the community's overall rights and individual rights through access to social services and the justice system. During the year, through our collaborations and outreach efforts, raksha:-provided 528 hours of counseling. -served 487 clients in 2022 with 348 new requests for help. -provided financial requests for client assistance to 88 clients. -provided outreach/training via in-person, social media, online events, and psa in print media billboard: minimum 503 in training outreach minimum 321,171.-provided individual support (telephone contacts and in person referrals and support and advocacy): 14,274 services-provided legal advocacy (civil, criminal and immigration): 567 services-provided 626 requests for language assistance.
