Ravenscroft celebrates a long legacy of philanthropy. The School was founded in 1862 through the generosity of a bequest made by Josiah Ogden Watson. Since that time, generations of families have made Ravenscroft one of their philanthropic priorities. Ravenscroft is a pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 independent college-preparatory school located in Raleigh, N.C. The Ravenscroft community, guided by our legacy of excellence, nurtures individual potential and prepares students to thrive in a complex and interdependent world.
