Program areas at Razing the Bar
We provided housing and/or mentoring (case management) to 60 tay who received some combination of direct housing support, mentoring support and cash assistance as needed for food, transportation, rent and education. Tay establish their own goals and our mentors support them with progress and accountability. Tay in our program maintain housing stability, increase wages, make educational progress and improve credit scores.
In october 2022, we entered the youth homeless demonstration program (yhdp) pursuant to a grant from the us department of housing and urban development (hud). Under this program, we provided housing and supportive services to 7 formerly homeless tay.
