Program areas at Reach Studio Art Center
Themed Classes:Out-of-school weekly arts education classes for youth and adults offered in four, 8-week terms. Classes mainly in visual arts such as painting, drawing, digital arts, and mixed media. All fee-based youth classes are offered on a sliding scale based on student's household income level. Some classes, such as Life Drawing, are offered free of charge with an "optional" fee.
Clay Studio: Weekly ceramic clay classes in four, 8-week terms in hand-building and pottery wheel throwing are offered to all ages from 5 years through adults.
Summer Camps & Art Truck: half day, M-F camp sessions in different art mediums are offered June - August for ages 6-13. Regular camp sessions are offered for a fee, with full and partial scholarships available. Additionally, REACH's Art Truck program contracts with community partner organizations serving youth in our area, such as the Boys and Girls Club, to lead art activities during their summer camps. REACH provides roughly 60 hours of arts-related summer activities through the Art Truck program free of charge.
Teen Programs: Out-of-school arts education programming offered to young people ages 12 - 19, including weekly classes in four, 8-week terms, formation of a REACH youth council, and arts activities in partnership with other community agencies.
Creative Connections: Weekly Xdrop-in" multi-generational art workshops in four, 8-week terms. Activity is free with a suggested optional fee/donation.
Exhibition space: Studio, gallery and performing arts spaces in facility are made available for community to lease for art exhibits, start-up classes, and artist-in-residence programs.
