STEMtastic Saturday: Girls grades 3-8 came together at Central Georgia Technical College to learn STEM/STEAM activities.Instruction is led by local educators as well as STEM professionals. Participants had a chance to choose between the Code Club or STEAM Academy. IMPACT: 80 Participants.
PRE-COLLEGE STEM PROGRAM PATHWAY (OUTREACH PROGRAM) IS FOR GIRLS IN GRADES 8-12. UPON COMPLETION OF REAL IMPACT S STEM PROGRAM GIRLS ARE ALIGNED WITH A PRE-COLLEGE STEM PROGRAM. tHIS ALLOWS FOR A PATHWAY INTO AN AREA STEM PROGRAM WITH FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY S MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING ACADEMY (M-SEA). STUDENTS IN THIS PROGRAM HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO ENTER A 4-YEAR DEGREE THROUGH PHD AT NO COST WITH FVSU CDEP PROGRAM.
To expose more girls to science,technology,engineering,and math(STEM) while teaching life skills and problem-solving along the way.Programing provides experimental,hands-on learning that introduces participants to positive professional STEM role models,innovative technologies and empowerment.
