Rebalanced Life Wellness Association

Rebalanced Life Wellness Association (rlwa) focused its efforts on following the state of Wisconsin the healthy people 2020, which highlights the importance of addressing social determinants of health by creating social and physical environments that improves health equity. Rlwa reached over 7000 black males by providing preventive health screenings and improving access to healthcare for uninsured and under-insured black men and boys from a location they trust and respect. Rlwa opened the nation's 1st mens health and education center in a black barbershop and has expanded to five black barbershops where over 38% of the black male population visits each month. Rlwa successfully opened the nation 1st free health clinic for uninsured and under-insured black men which provides primary care services that include physical therapy, mental health assessments and counseling and diabetic foot care.
