Program areas at Rebuilding Together Houston

Disaster Relief homes are returned to a safe and healthy condition that protects them against future disasters. Industrial hygienists inspect homes to identify potential mold exposures and occupant risks, and provide recommendations for remediation.
The Community Revitalization program focuses on targeted home restoration within specific neighborhoods. Since 2019, RTH has concentrated efforts in the East End, a historically underserved Hispanic area that includes Second Ward, one of Houston's original neighborhoods established in 1839. Homes are restored to safe and healthy conditions, resilient against future disasters. Contractors handle essential repairs and volunteers often contribute to exterior improvements.
