Program areas at Recreative Denver
Artist studio, woodworking workshop and community event space: Provided low-cost artist studio rentals to 12 artists, and maintained a woodworking workshop used by over 20 community members. Expenses reflect costs related to facilities occupancy; office expenses; information technology; business licenses; banking fees; merchant fees; insurance; professional development; and wages and payroll taxes for our operations staff.
Provided art classes for over 200 people, hosted a craft fair for 22 local artists, and hosted ten musical performances, attended by an estimated 300 people. Expenses reflect payments to subcontractors; event space rental; advertising; printing and reproduction; program supplies; meals and travel.
Creative reuse store: Accepted 19,262 pounds of donated arts and crafts supplies for resale to over 13,700 customers in our retail store. Expenses reflect costs related to operating our retail store; merchant fees; and wages and payroll taxes for our retail staff.
