The specific purpose of the Corporation is to provide a family friendly, neutral site to promote a cross-systems, multi-disciplinary team approach to the investigation and treatment of child maltreatment cases including sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect. To facilitate healing and justice for victims of sexual and physical abuse, neglect and exploitation and to engage the community to protect and support children. The RRCAC provides a community response to child maltreatment victims and their families.

The Red River Children's Advocacy Center (RRCAC) facilitates a multidisciplinary response to child maltreatment by coordinating effective services including forensic interviewing, medical victim advocacy, mental health, law enforcement and prosecution. In 2022, the RRCAC provided services to 844 child victims and their families. The RRCAC supports the professionals that are members of the multidisciplinary team through educational opportunities and peer review.
