Redeem International

Redeem partnered with local law enforcement authorities to protect Ugandan widows and orphans from predatory eviction. Specifically, Redeem engaged in casework that restored families to their homes, restrained the criminals who were abusing them and rehabilitated survivors, providing investigative, legal and/or social services to 3,153 beneficiaries. This casework, coupled with Redeem's casework-informed capacity building and community engagement efforts, has the further benefit of creating a deterrent impact that reduces victimization and provides protection for the other widows and orphans in the community.
