The Redwood Justice Fund promotes positive environmental values and defends human and civil rights secured by law. It produces radio and other public media that give voice to persons incarcerated in US Prisons for broadcast to the public. It also supports Free Shaka, which seeks to educate the public, particularly California about the character of the California Dept of Corrections and Rehabilitation as experienced by elderly inmates.

Program areas at Redwood Justice Fund

PRISON RADIO: Produces radio and other public media giving voice to persons incarcerated in US Prisons for broadcast to the public. In 2022 we were able to record 235 commentaries for publication from 45 correspondents living in prisons across the United States sharing perspectives that would otherwise be hidden from the public. We were also able to send out 60 reports to our constituents about our work and the conditions of our correspondents.
REDWOOD JUSTICE FUND: To promote positive environmental values and defend human and civil rights secured by law.
Free Shaka: Free Shaka seeks to educate the public, particularly California about the character of the California Dept of Corrections and Rehabilitation as experienced by elderly inmates.
