Regina Klenjoski Dance Company

This is a 6-month short period form 990.the board of directors of the organization has changed the accounting period of the organization to a june 30th year end in order to better align its fiscal year to key programs. Rkdc provides professional concert Dance performances and Dance programs, residencies, and community workshops in both their home communities of wichita, ks, and torrance, ca where the Company was originally incorporated in 2001. In january 2023 the professional Company traveled to facilitate a master class at artistree in hutchinson, ks where they shared a duet from their upcoming annual show duets for my valentine with aspiring dancers. In february of 2023, the professional Company produced the 5th annual duets for my valentine performance at crown uptown theater in wichita ks. Also in february, the professional Company facilitated master classes centered around the upcoming premiere of their new original work the golden apple at andover Dance academy where they are artist in residence. In march, rkdc produced their bi-annual student showcase performance for 265 students in torrance, ca. In may 2023, rkdcs professional Company presented an in-studio showing of the golden apple at wichita state university as well as premiered the full production at demattias fine arts center in wichita, ks. In june of 2023, rkdc partnered with tristian griffin Dance Company to workshop, premiere, and tour converge, a collaborative project between two Kansas contemporary Dance companies. Converge traveled to and performed at demattias fine arts center and mark arts in wichita, ks; the kemper museum in Kansas city, ks; and at the free state festival in lawrence, ks. From january - june rkdc produced live education programming for 538 torrance, ca students.
