Creation care song project: a new heaven and a new earthcontemporary christian songs on taking care of nature, written and produced by well-known u.s. christian musicians, in order to raise consciousness of the need for devoted conservation of nature and care of creation, and to develop and support an ecumenical conversation and action on the subject, both in the united states and internationally. In 2023, Reil began the production phase of the creation care song project, a new heaven and a new earth. This involved: 1.) Publicizing the story and the songs, 2.) Visuals, graphics, branding and socials for the project and the songs. 3.) Releasing six songs to digital streaming platforms.accomplishments:1. Publicized the story of the project and publicized our first 6 singles. We issued 8 press releases, one for each song, and 2 special press releases. One highlighted the premiere of the video of our song, you mean the world by moriah in october. And a second special release in december focused on a particular aspect of the project, the involvement of the children of the artists in the project; this story made the top christian music news of the week newsletter of ccm magazine, a key christian music publication, founded in 1978. Our press releases garnered many press "hits" in the contemporary christian music and local nashville press and national faith press.2. Designed and created all our branding, graphics and visuals, including logo, 6 single covers, and establishing a website and instagram account. Anewheavenandanewearth.org @newheavennewearthsongs3. Released six songs to major digital streaming platforms, including spotify and apple. The songs made various apple and spotify curated playlists. Two of our songs made apple christian music's best new songs of the week list.4. Gathered the artists for a concert for press in october 2023, 4 artists attending in person and 2 by video, and a roundtable for the artists, their children and some key environmentalists, attended by 12 people. Both events were at lipscomb university, nashville, Tennessee.
