Program areas at RCRC
Public witness: developing and connecting Religious leaders of moral courage. Developing and connecting skilled organizers, theologians, and policy advocates at the intersection of Reproductive health, rights, and justice is critical to rcrc's mission. Our goal is to expand and connect networks of Religious and Reproductive justice leaders so that rcrc can achieve a more coordinated organizing impact. Our flagship program, compassionate care for Reproductive decision-making and loss, is a core part of this effort, and we recently expanded it to include healthcare and social workers. We also have built an on-line religion and repro learning center to equip Religious leaders, scholars, and activists in support of Reproductive freedom.
Visibility: amplifying the voices of Religious leaders.rcrc works to promote an impactful network of Religious leaders publicly supporting access to contraception, abortion, and other Reproductive health options, both in the pastoral and political spheres, and encourages Religious literacy among our secular colleagues. Rcrc is engaged in op-ed writing, high-profile interviews, letters to the editors, and building a social media presence across multiple platforms to deliver this unique messaging. We are also working to shape and enrich public discourse with our sacred crossroads interview series and religion and repro learning center webinar series, both of which draw in clergy, activists, theologians, scholars, and healthcare workers to discuss a range of topics related to Reproductive freedom, religion, history, politics, social justice, and more. These events serve as entry points to bringing more leaders into our faith and repro-justice network and amplifying their platforms
