Two beneficiary families are chosen each year - one first responder family and one military family. Money is raised for an entire year, and then that is split between the two families. They are chosen based on financial need. To ensure that families of the Fallen are aware that their loss affects not only them but people everywhere regardless of where they may be. To provide financial assistance to military and first responder families who were either killed in action or had a life altering situation.
