Program areas at Renew New England
Coalition support: Renew u.s. Strengthened our national coalition of grassroots partners with power-building infrastructure and support including organizer training, fundraising, strategic partnership, and movement security support. Organizer training: Renew u.s. developed/ran a national program to recruit, train and certify progressive campaign managers in electoral, ballot and issue campaigns, prioritizing working-class and bipoc recruitment. Across three majority-bipoc cohorts, this comprehensive 8-week program trained over 350 participants, as well as running intensive boot camps to provide concrete skills to a variety of movement leaders and members of our partners' bases. Electoral organizing: Renew u.s. endorsed/supported a slate of over 300 candidates for state and local office in the New England region, each of whom committed to fight for our ambitious policy platform and to refuse donations from the fossil fuel industry. 173 of these candidates won.
