Program areas at Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce
Chamber-sponsored events held for the benefit of members include our "business after hours- and "coffee & Commerce" events each month wich provide networking opportunities for our members during the morning and after work. These popular events enable attendees to announce themselves and their business operations/organizations, exhange information, and enjoy morning or evening drinks and refreshments. These events are free and open to all members.
"alliance" is an annual meeting that demostrates the full collaboration between Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce, the reno-tahoe airport authority, economic development authority of northern Nevada, and the reno-sparks convention & visitors authority. Guests receive timely and vital information regarding policies, programs, and developments that affect the regional economy and our members.
"leadership program" accepts up to 30 representatives from applicants to participate in an 8-month program that introduces attendees to critical issues and opportunities in our community. Topics include government, criminal justice and law enforcement, arts culture and tourism, marketing and the media, and economic development and infrastructure. The class travels to maky locations includeing the state captial, the legislative building and former stewart indian school in carson city.
We offer education opportunities to our members through our free "Chamber edu" series which provides our members with education and training on several topics including business and financial planning, marketing for brand awareness, a legislative recap, and real estate. We also send out a week "Chamber briefing" that contains timely information regarding upcoming Chamber events and programs, news from our Chamber partners and members, and northern Nevada business updates. It is sent to over 3,000 email address every tuesday morning.
