Description
Rescue for PTSD trains service dogs for military veterans suffering from PTSD. Shelter/rescue dogs are fully trained by members of the Board or foster homes until they are matched with a specific veteran in need. Veterans attend 3-4 days of immersive training to solidify their bond with their new companion. Monthly group lessons are held at the local VFW Post, where 32 canine-Veterans teams are currently enrolled and 21 teams have graduated. The program offers four skill levels of classes and is located in Spring, TX.
