Program areas at Respite Care of Charleston
Provided half-day, non-medical day programs to 72 individuals with some form of dementia during a combined 2,431 visits to four program sites in Charleston county. Caregivers of these individuals received Respite / relief from their caregiving duties by bringing their loved ones for program visits. Grants, donations and other fundraising efforts enabled us to provide affordable services.
Senior moments: provide education and support designed to improve and prolong quality of life to 36 individuals with mci or early-stage dementia.
Provided services in the form of outreach, educational resources and support groups, including group meetings, to 344 caregivers through 1,626 support meetings / interactions.
