Program areas at Restless Books
General program - Restless Books is devoted to championing essential voices from around the world. In 2022, we published 12 Books. Two of the 12 were for young readers, 9 were in translation. 10 of the 12 were published by us for the first time, and the remaining two were new editions of an existing work. As of the end of 2022, we have almost 150 titles in print and in electronic form, sold across the country and internationally via retail bookstores, on the web, including from our own website, and by our distributor, publishers group west. Our authors come from all over the world and represent 42 countries of origin and 27 languages. In addition to the publishing program, we run the Restless Books prize for new immigrant writing, which awards $10,000 and publication with Restless Books to a writer who has produced a work that addresses the effects of global migration on identity.
