Program areas at Restoration Community Development Corporation

RCDCs primary activity is a comprehensive outreach program which provides radical hospitality to people experiencing homelessness to restore their dignity. RCDCs Day of Dignity events meet the needs of the unsheltered through mobile shower services and other essential and supportive resources. RCDC can meet its goals by collaborating with service providers from county and city agencies, community volunteers, non-profit and faith-based organizations. These partnerships help combat homelessness through a fast-tracted distribution of resources like: Hot meals, Food distributions, New clothes, Sleeping bags distribution, Mental health, legal aid- Record expungements, retrieving vital records, mobile showers, medical/helath screenings, housing resources, reunification of loved ones, Drug recovery & rebabilitation, etc.RCDC gives unsheltered individuals access to these resources all in one place that serves as a one-stop-shop to cure homelessness. By providing access to RCDCs showers, clean clothes, food, and other supportive resources through events that RCDC calls Day of Dignity.In addition, RCDC collaborates with the Community Safety Partnership (CSP), a form of community policing. This program is a collaboration that involves the Los Angeles Police Department, Council District 8, Los Angeles Parks and Recreation and Community Stakeholders. Due to the efforts of the CSP, the pilot program has reduceds crime and built public trust and now officially operates as bureau within the City of Los Angeles.
