Passport program: provides at-risk, inner-city youth (those who are economically disadvantaged, teen parents, or foster youth) and adults who have dropped out of high school with an opportunity to earn their high school equivalency (hse) credential and prepare for college and careers simultaneously. Students are provided with free, enriched preparation for their hse, including college test preparation, comprehensive college and workforce training services, and wrap-around social support services. In 2023, 2,013 students were placed on a path to self-sufficiency.
Fast path program: offers low-income high school students with free standardized test preparation workshops and tutoring to prepare them for dual credit courses and college enrollment. In 2023, the fast pass program provided various workshops to 448 students in south Texas.
Compass program: provides hse graduates and first generation college students with on-going support and guidance as they complete their 2 and 4 year degrees at local colleges. These students have access to a personal mentor dedicated to their success as well as a designated area located next to the college campus staffed with tutors and equipped with laptops and textbooks. In 2023, 87 students were supported by the compass program as they persisted towards graduation.
