Community Health - our urban agriculture model which includes urban farms and family garden food cultivation and no-cost healthy food market creates an equitable, just and locally owned food system to address short-to mid-term food access needs in our designated food desert. Re:Vision operates two urban farms and establishes 150 family home gardens that produce 120,000 pounds of food annually for our community and also serve as a direct link to Latinx ancestral agricultural practices that ensures our food and cultural sovereignty are preserved and visible in an increasingly gentrified neighborhood and city.
Culture and Arts Collaboration with Hecho en Westwood - Re:Visions urban agriculture and cultural programs are rooted in the celebration and preservation of the vibrant Latinx community of SW Denver. Through our fiscal sponsorship of local arts group Hecho en Westwood, Re:Vision hosted a series of 11 Latinx cultural events available for free to the community to learn about, preserve, and celebrate the culture and traditions of Latinx members of our community.
Education: Our youth education model creates a pipeline of education engagement and opportunities for youth in SW Denver. Re:Visions Semillas program encompasses several youth-focused programs that serve a total of 690 youth. Semillas de Manana and Semillas de Invierno are family gardening programs. Semillas de Esperanza summer youth program is for ages 8-12 and 13-16. Xulinaria, a cooking program, is offered to youth ages 12 18. Semillas de Agua, is a 24-week paid apprenticeship program for 4 youth ages 16 -18. 100% of youth participants identify as Latinx.
Facilities and property management: ReVision offers space in its buildings for local nonprofit groups and community entrepreneurs.
