Program areas at Ridgefield Lions Charities

Granted funds and provided labor to the port of Ridgefield project for planting grass in new park. Helped the police department with a service activity called shop with a cop where they help needy children with buying school clothes and supplies. Participant in the 4th of july parade.
Granted funds to help the blind, visually and hearing impaired. Granted money to clark county lion sight, lcif, md19, white canes, leos, & other local Lions clubs who helped our lion club with fundraising activities at the local casino. Over 1000 people benefited.
Funded scholarships for ten college students. Given to students who reflect the philosophy of lionism while maintaining exemplary standards.
Granted funds to help and support the local food banks, walk and knock food drive to help needy families and the hungry. Organized and performed a community food collection program. Over 1000 people benefited. Supported other community groups and activities including 4h, ffa, leaderdogs for the blind, Ridgefield school's knowledge bowl, thespian team, multicultural event, christmas giving tree, community education for children camps . We supported local scouting groups, the local art association along with sponsoring a local golf tournament.
