Program areas at Right Steps Child Development
The organization provides Child Care services through 7 centers with a total licensed capacity of 405 children. Programs include early education for low-income families and parents.
The Child Care resource network's primary objectives are equipping families with the knowledge and resources to make smart Child Care decisions, recruiting quality Child Care providers, and to help communities implement programs and initiatives to build a strong infrastructure of high quality Child Care and early education programs. We provide services to parents, Child Care programs, and the communities in 27 counties including adams, allen, benton, blackford, boone, carroll, cass, clinton, dekalb, fountain, fulton, grant, howard, huntington, jasper, jay, miami, newton, noble, pulaski, Tippecanoe, tipton, wabash, warren, wells, white, and whitley counties.
Through federal funding from the Child and adult Care food program administered by the us department of agriculture, the organization reimburses certain food costs incurred by qualified local home-based Child Care centers and Right Steps centers.
A community program which mails age appropriate books directly to registered children's homes, regardless of income levels, each month until the Child's 5th birthday.
