1. Pre ETS Pre Employment Training Skills GROW Academy This program focuses on equipping individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare them for employment. The GROW Getting Ready for Opportunities to Work Academy is a comprehensive one-week program meticulously crafted to educate, empower, and equip differently abled students with the essential skills and resources necessary for successful entry into the workforce. Our overarching goal is to provide these students with a holistic and immersive experience that fosters not only job readiness but also self advocacy, exploration of post-secondary options, career pathways, and valuable work-based learning opportunities. GROW is a continuation of Pre ETS Pre Employment Transition Services for those students who are fortunate to receive the services during the school year. Building upon the foundation established through pre ETS, GROW offers an immersive and intensive week long experience that further enhances students skills. By seamlessly transitioning from pre ETS to GROW, students benefit from a comprehensive continuum of support and guidance that prepares them for successful entry into the workforce and post secondary education. Throughout the duration of the program, students engage in a series of structured activities, workshops, and interactive sessions tailored to their unique needs and abilities.
3. Job Readiness & Placement: It encompasses a range of competencies that enable individuals to secure and retain employment, perform their job duties proficiently, and adapt to the demands of various work environments. Job readiness often includes: Soft Skills, Technical Skills, Work Ethic, Job Search Skills, Understanding Workplace Culture, Self-Advocacy. It assists individuals in finding suitable employment opportunities based on their skills, interests, and career goals. This program may involve job matching, resume distribution, networking assistance, and job application support.
2. Workplace Readiness for Adults This program aims to enhance the readiness of adult learners for the workplace environment. It covers topics such as professional behavior, time management, conflict resolution, and workplace ethics to help participants thrive in various job settings.
4. Employment Training Customer Service Certification: Customer Service Certification Nationally Recognized This program focuses specifically on developing customer service skills, which are essential in various industries. Participants may undergo training sessions covering customer interaction techniques, problem-solving skills, and effective communication strategies to obtain a nationally recognized customer service certification. This certification enhances participants' credentials and increases their competitiveness in the job market, as it is widely recognized and valued by employers across the country.
5. Career Expos for General Population of Unemployed and Underemployed Individuals: Ringer Center of Excellence organizes career expos aimed at connecting unemployed and underemployed individuals with potential employers. These events typically feature job opportunities, career workshops, networking sessions, and access to resources to support participants in their job search and career advancement efforts.
