DEI TRAINING - Employing both an experiential and conceptual approach to the program design, RISE@Work is a leader in workplace diversity, equity and inclusion, and conflict management training that emphasizes inclusive leadership. Our workshops and training modules build cross-functional skills and competencies that 21st Century organizations need to build inclusive workplaces in an increasingly complex and diverse world. Our elite diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) leadership learning experiences are built on a three-tiered approach, informed by: 1) The Adaptive Leadership technique developed by renowned academics at Harvards Kennedy School; 2) A team of highly qualified consultants and coaches thoroughly trained in depth over the course of a year in partnership with the University of San Diegos School of Leadership & Education Sciences; and, 3) Fun, interactive, team-oriented proprietary learning modules and activities.
Leadership diversity, dquity, and inclusion - It has become increasingly difficult for nonprofit organizations to become sustainable. In response, there is an emerging movement of nonprofit organizations developing social enterprises that hit the double bottom-line of generating sufficient revenue to cover 100% of the ventures cost, while also providing a source of sustainable funding to meet all or a significant portion of the nonprofits organizational and programmatic expenses necessary to achieve their mission and do social good. RISE@Work is intended to be such a social enterprise building off the existing strengths of its parent nonprofit organization, RISE San Diego (RISE), leverage RISEs goodwill and strategically maximize use of RISE resources. In 2017, general programming was focused on the research and development of RISE@Work. Significant amounts of existing staff time and additional consultant support was deployed to help conduct research and development of the RISE@Work social enterprise idea. The business model was thoroughly vetted to validate the assumptions made on market demand, target customer and best sale contact, messaging, pricing, curriculum design, beta testing, intellectual property issues, staffing trainings expense and revenue projections and determination of the right corporate structure (i.e. a program within RISE, a new sister nonprofit or for-profit entity).
