Program areas at RISE

In fall of 2022 we launched our Early RISErs program. Our Early RISErs 0-3 program offers weekly interactive classes for infants and their caregivers with a focus on early literacy and other key areas of development such as health nutrition and social well-being. This program also helps families connect with local resources to enhance their child's growth and development in those formative first few years of a child's life. As well as our ER program we have also increased our reach through our Little Blue House Collaborative. The Little Blue House Birth to Five Collaborative LBH is an essential resource for families with children 0-5 in East Palo Alto. Along with our Early RISErs program collaborative partners provide programs and services promoting early childhood development including playgroups parent education classes and health screenings. The LBH Collaborative is more than just a resource center. It's a vibrant hub where families can gather connect and build relationships. RISE hosts Community Conversations at the LBH a safe place for residents to discuss topics that impact their lives share their perspectives on community issues and access resources.
Our RISE Elementary After School Program comprises afterschool tutoring and mentoring social- emotional learning enrichment activities and opportunities for experiences. This program places an emphasis on self-esteem life skills and confidence building. We prioritize collaborative efforts involving families and educators. Our Middle and High School program offers comprehensive support including academic tutoring social-emotional learning and mental health career path exploration extracurricular activities and community service with the goal to empower our students. We collaborate with other East Palo Alto youth organizations to provide holistic support throughout the middle and high school years.
