Rise Up Woman International

Rise Up Woman International supported the work of ALARM-Rwanda in the Northern Province, Eastern Province, and Kigali. In the Northern and Eastern Provinces, Rise Up collaborated with ALARM-Rwanda to conduct leadership development conferences to encourage, equip, and empower local church and community leaders. In the Eastern Province, Rise Up supported a secondary school for girls by providing funding for teacher and staff salaries. In Kigali, a group of women were encouraged and equipped with business training and budgeting skills.

Rise Up Woman International supported the work of ELYON in Baringo County, Kenya. Our work encouraged, equipped, and empowered vulnerable women and girls including widows and single mothers by providing training in business, prevention, and recovery from GBV, as well as providing funds for capital investment.

Rise Up Woman International supported the work of ALARM-Kenya in two geographic areas, Mathare Informal Settlement and Kenyawa. In Mathare, Rise Up and ALARM-Kenya encouraged, equipped, and empowered widows and single mothers by providing additional training in violence prevention and trauma recovery. The work in Mathare and Kenyawa focused on 2 primary areas: 1) Servant Leadership & Education and 2) Social & Economic Empowerment.
