Roc Action

In 2021, ROC Action revamped its infrastructure, including the digital presence through the website and social media, and started to develop plans for advocacy for the Restaurant Workers Bill of Rights. It was mostly a year of planning and administrative work, with limited advocacy and outreach activities. Outreach In December of 2021, we initiated our congressional outreach program in preparation for sharing the anticipated Restaurant Workers Bill of Rights resolution. Advocacy We mobilized 21 organizations and 101 primarily restaurant workers in the State of New York to join us in asking Senator Schummer to use his leadership in the Senate to ensure that Americans finally join the rest of the world in having access to paid family and medical leave. Planning, Infrastructure, and Administration We launched a new website and social media channels through Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to educate restaurant workers and allies about relevant policy issues and activities advancing our mission. We developed plans for non-partisan 2022 GOTV efforts in MI.
