Rocksprings Edwards County Volunteer Fire Department

The Rocksprings Edwards County Volunteer Fire Department began in 2009 and has since been a very active part of the community. From the beginning, its mission has been to serve the needs of the public and protect life and property from Fire and other disasters. Its 18 current volunteers mainly do this through firefighting, whether it be grass fires, structure fires, car fires and wrecks, search and rescue, high-water rescue, and emergency management.rocksprings Edwards County Volunteer Fire Department also assists all other emergency responders within Edwards County when called upon, including the Edwards County sheriff's office and the Edwards County ems department.volunteer work is primarily conducted within Edwards County; however, the organization does assist other emergency responders from the surrounding counties, such as sutton County, real County and val verde county.additionally, Rocksprings Edwards County Volunteer Fire Department provides Fire safety education to the local school district and provides further support by escorting the sports and uil teams in, and out of town whenever they advance to regionals/state competitions.
