Rockville Centre St Patrick's Parade

See schedule othe organization conducts an annual St. Patrick's day Parade in march of each year in the village of Rockville Centre, county of nassau, ny. The Parade participants are community groups, local businesses, marching bands, irish organizations and fire departments. The Parade is viewed by all ages of residents of Rockville Centre and the surrounding communities. The Parade committee is made up of local community leaders of Rockville Centre. Each year the organization's board of directors selects a grand marshal and three charities to support. Prior to the Parade, the committee engages in various special events, including advertising and soliciting contributions from individuals and companies, selling raffle tickets, contacting organizations to march in the Parade, and hosting a grand marshal diner to develop an interest in the Parade and raise funds. The organization promotes irish heritage and supports the selected charities.
