Program areas at Rocky Mountain Equality

Pride celebrations: out Boulder county Pride is a week-long celebration of the local lgbtq+ community that promotes visibility, awareness, and community Pride. There are many events throughout the week that target specific segments of the lgbtq+ community, including youth, lgbtq+ people over 50, queer and trans people of color, and transgender people. The week culminates with Pride festivals in Boulder and longmont. Activities include dancing, local performances, social gatherings, connecting with resources, and much more.
Behavioral health & wellness program: out Boulder county provides mental health and substance abuse recovery support services, which include recovery service in larimer and weld counties and virtual offerings to lgbtq+ communities across Colorado. Recovery focused events are held, such as, but not limited to, road to recovery concert, recovery cookout, halloween and christmas eve parties, and the sober for the holidays variety show. Participants are engaged with the goal of achieving therapeutic goals or connecting to long-term therapeutic care.
Youth program: out Boulder county's youth program provides a social and educational space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth and their allies ages 11-18. Program offerings include weekly support groups, paid youth internships, a youth summer camp, a queer and trans people of color youth retreat, a lavender graduation ceremony, and other events and community activities.
Other programs and services: out Boulder county provides various programs and services to the lgbtq+ community in out Boulder county and beyond, including, but not limited to, the transgender community, targeted events and programming for queer and trans people of color, education and training. Group meetings and events are held that target the interest of members of the community, such as yoga classes, book clubs, creative writing groups, gaming groups, ukulele lessons, and many more. Out Boulder county prioritizes advocating for the lgbtq+ people, inclusive policies and practices, and responding to disasters by providing the support and resources needed by the lgbtq+ people and families.
