Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network provides free immigration legal and social services to individuals in civil immigration detention, as well as children and families throughout Colorado. Program areas at RMIAN

Rmian's children's program provides immigration-related legal services to children and families as well as conducts presesentations and trainings for social workers, guardians ad litem, educators, parents, and students throughout the state. In 2023, rmian's children's program directly represented 709 children and conducted 455 intakes and consultations. Rmian's children's program referred 158 clients' cases to volunteer attorneys. Rmian's children's program conducted 302 know-your-rights presentations to 5,132 individuals at the denver immigration court. Finally, rmian gave community presentations to an additional 3,460 community members.
Rmian's anti-human trafficking project raises awareness of the problem of human trafficking in Colorado and screens potential survivors through the children's program and the detention program. Rmian's social service project provides wrap-around supportive social services to clients in rmian's detention program and children's program. Rmian provided holistic support to 163 clients through its social service project. Advocacy & litigation: rmian also works for justice for immigrants in Colorado and beyond through Advocacy, policy, and litigation work at the local, state, and federal level to advance the rights of immigrants
Rmian's detention program offers know-your-rights presentations, individual intakes, direct representation through volunteer attorneys or rmian staff attorneys, and pro se assistance to individuals detained at the immigration detention facility in aurora. In sum, in 2023 rmian provided 206 know-your-rights presentations to 3,011 individuals in civil immigration detention in Colorado, conducted 928 individual intakes, and provided 161 individualized and in-depth follow-up sessions to individuals in immigration detention. Rmian staff attorneys represented 120 clients in immigration detention, and rmian referred 267 clients' detention cases to its Network of volunteer attorneys.
