Healthy habitats and connected landscapes - we work to identify, protect, and restore functioning and resilient habitats, and to address habitat fragmentation by protecting linkages between key habitat areas.
Key species - our region is home to more than 500 rare and imperiled native plant and animal species. We work to protect keystone and umbrella species that will result in the preservation of entire ecosystems.
Responsible development - we work to find balanced solutions that protect the biodiversity of our region while allowing for responsible human development. We use the best available science to monitor and analyze all oil and gas lease sales in a five state area.
