Program areas at Rolling Harvest Food Rescue

Over the last eleven years, we have distributed nearly four and a half million pounds of healthy Food from 45 farm partners to more than 80 hunger relief sites, including Food pantries, shelters, community kitchens, and low-income senior centers. The distribution of nutritious Food benefits more than 34,000 adults and children each month in need of assistance. With the help of more than 1,000 volunteers dedicating 5,034 hours, we rescued 456,000 pounds (380,000 meals) of farm produce and healthy proteins in 2023, efficiently distributing it to neighbors in need and keeping it out of landfills. We continue to partner with several other nonprofit organizations to further identify and alleviate hunger and nutrition insecurity throughout the region. We have increased our nutrition and culinary education outreach program significantly to teach healthy eating for life to recipients, serving 12,835 healthy samples at 93 events in 2023. We remain committed to keeping surplus healthy Food out of landfills and sharing it with our neighbors in need.
