Ronald Mcdonald House Charities of the Triangle

Ronald Mcdonald House Charities of the Triangle was officially formed in 2023. A merger of rmh of chapel hill and rmh of durham & wake made formal a long-standing partnership between triangle-area nonprofit neighbors. We moved forward with all 7 existing programs and with all staff from the previous organizations. Much emphasis was placed on combining administrative functions during the year, a process that is now complete. Most of all, we have remained a charity focused on supporting families to promote the health and wellbeing of seriously ill children. In 2023, we welcomed 1,603 families for residential hospitality in raleigh, durham, and chapel hill for a total of 29,359 nights of care. 43,859 meals were served to children and families. 15,729 respite visits were provided to caregivers and families inside duke, unc, and wakemed children's hospitals. 3,284 volunteers sharing 21,043 hours of service made this possible. the cost savings to families from rmhc Triangle programs in 2023 was $5.38m.
