Root Cause Research Center, Inc. has taken over the EIN of CART as of 5/2/23The Root Cause Research Center's purpose is to provide research, data collection, data analysis, project incubation, and data resources to further examine and address systemic gaps and oppressions that affect social determinants of health (SDOH). The following are SDOH: food security, post-secondary education attainment and employment sustainability, financial assets security, social connectedness, and housing security as a human right-which is the foundation for all other social determinants.Root Cause Research Center - 2022/23 Accomplishments- Built a base of tenant power in Louisville- Passed a Metro Council resolution to remove one of the worst slumlords from the city and cancelled the all contracts for over 1200 units- Wrote an anti-displacement ordinance with over 200 residents in historically Black neighborhoods and in co-governance relationship with Councilperson- Passed Right to Counsel legislation-Was part of the first tenant delegation to meet with the White House -Took the first tenant delegation to meet with the Kentucky Housing Corporation
