Program areas at Rotary International - 5390 District
Act as liason between individual member clubs in the state of Montana and Rotary International. The District provides training and support to officers of the member clubs. The District also disperses funds from Rotary International that support local philanthropic projects. Also the District educates members throughout the state on the priciples of Rotary and the various International Rotary projects that the local clubs can participate in.
Conduct an annual camp for Montana youth called the Rotary youth leadership award. At ryla students learn about leadership qualities and skills as well as team building with diverse people. The camp also provides students opportunities to provide service by participating in projects that will leave the camp better than when they arrived. The students learn from business and community leaders from around Montana.
President elect training seminars. The District provides funding for all of the Montana clubs presidents elect for the upcoming year. The conference takes place in denver and teaches participants the ins and outs of Rotary International and also provides them with the tools and knowledge they will need to lead their local clubs.
