Roundup River Ranch serves campers through extraordinary camp experiences at its campsite from across Colorado as well as a 10-state region. Campers also experience camp from the comfort of their own homes or hospital rooms through camp online. Roundup River Ranch provides children with serious illnesses an old-fashioned, pure fun camp experience where they are not defined by their illness or by things they haven't tried before. Here, campers and their families discover the healing power of love, laughter, friendship and shared experiences. Campers realize they are not alone, find the courage to try new activities and build confidence. With full medical, physical and emotional support from healthcare professionals, staff and volunteers, campers and their families have the peace of mind to relax and experience the joys of childhood.in fiscal year 2023, Roundup River Ranch served campers from 21 states. In each program area, the organization utilizes an intentional programming model, which encourages opportunities for challenge, success, reflection, and fun. Through this process, campers gain skills, self-confidence, and resiliency that can be applied following the conclusion of the camp session. In the 2023 camp season Roundup River Ranch provided 6,315 camper experiences free of charge. The organization relies heavily on the support of volunteers who contribute their time and talents to ensure a meaningful and individual camp experience for all campers. 848 volunteers served in 2023 in a variety of capacities, including medical, programs, cabin, facilities, housekeeping, kitchen, special events and administrative support.
