Ruling Our Experiences, Inc. (rox) provides evidence-based interventions focused on the education and empowerment of girls. Rox programming includes: a 20-week curriculum for girls, professional development training for teachers, counselors, and educators, workshops and trainings for parents and community members, and research and evaluations with girls. In rox, elementary, middle, and high school girls have the opportunities to explore the major issues that impact girls during their adolescent years including: confidence, body image, girl drama and bullying, social media and cyberbullying, safety and sexual violence prevention, stress and coping, academic and career development, and leadership. After participating in rox: 83% of girls have higher levels of self-esteem; 94% of girls report feeling more connected to other girls and less alone; 88% of girls feel safer and more confident that they can protect themselves; 78% of girls have improved school attendence or feel an increased connection to school; 90% of girls report that they plan to attend college after they graduate.
