Program areas at Rural Womens Health Project

Community Health Projects - VIVIR is a COVID-19 response dedicated to serving Latino community members. Florida Promotor Initiative (FPI) program of Promotores (peer educators) who provide a bridge between the community and the service providers in areas most affected by disparities in health and education. Project S.A.L.U.D. increases Latino community health literacy, linkage to care, and support of immigrant justice.
Advocacy Services - develop and strengthen community alliances, develop and support advocacy initiatives and collaborate with organizations to reduce barriers to health and social services.
Community Issues - Research into health, trauma, and economic costs of family separation created by governmental policies. Supporting language access service within institutions receiving federal funding.
