Dinner church is A weekly gathering created to feed and provide physical, emotional and spiritual help to those in need on the eastside of san antonio. Support ranges from providing A warm meal to bus passes and hygiene kits to temporary housing and showers.
Photo club is done in partnership with the local elementary school. The program teaches 6th grade students about photography in the context of storytelling as it relates to their community. Students learn the skills necessary to interview people and they are given the opportunity and platform to have open discussions about the good and bad impacting our neighborhood through an end of year art exhibit called we live here.
Immersions are 4 hours sessions which give people who live in san antonio the opportunity to experience our eastside neighborhood. The purpose of the time is to learn about the people and the place and the problems that plague our community. In addition, it provides our neighborhood partners the opportunity to provide their expertise, elevating them to the position of experts and teachers.
