Program areas at Saban Community Clinic
Primary care servicesprimary care services are provided through wac Clinic (wallis annenberg center), beverly Clinic, mark s. taper Clinic, The center at blessed sacrament, and virgil family health center. The clinics provide primary care services for adults and children, which includes health maintenance services such as physical exams, pap smears and breast exams; diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma; family planning services, hiv testing and counseling, and testing and treatment of other sexually transmitted diseases; cancer screening and blood pressure screening.
Behavioral healththe behavioral health department operates at all Clinic sites to provide case management and short term counseling services to people of all ages. Case management includes information and referrals; short-term counseling includes depression screening, individual and couples counseling, and family counseling; group counseling includes a teen group and a parenting group. Limited psychiatric services are also available.
Dental clinicthe dental Clinic delivers services to both children and adults of all ages. Services include general screening, oral exams and diagnostic visits, x rays and restorative procedures such as filling, extraction, pulpotomies, crowns and root canals, dentures, emergency and palliative care, and such preventive care as cleaning, sealants and oral hygiene education. The Clinic also provides patients with informative brochures and an anti-plaque kit of toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and plaque disclosure tablets.
Eligibility and enrollment The eligibility and enrollment department provides health insurance and program eligibility services to people of all ages, at all three Clinic sites as well as at Community meetings, health fairs and other public events.
