Program areas at Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber conducted its 5th annual regional study mission. The study mission gave this year's 75 participants an inside look at the assets, talent and opportunities of the six-county Sacramento region, exploring downtown Sacramento, elk grove, and rancho cordova this year. Over the course of the one-day study mission, participants were reminded of what makes the Sacramento region the "best of-first at-leader" with a focus on civic amenities, education, healthcare, innovation, and more. Participants represent different local business leaders wanting to learn more about different programs and movements that are helping to grow the Sacramento region.grow the Sacramento region.
The Chamber held its second annual aapi night market in downtown Sacramento. Bringing together more than 50 locally owned and operated aapi businesses and food trucks. The aapi night market was attended by more than 2,500 people from around the Sacramento region and provided an opportunity to celebrate aapi businesses within the Sacramento community. The aapi night market also hosted performances by several live local musicians.
The Chamber, in collaboration with the partners of the Sacramento inclusive economic development collaborative,executed contracts with the city of Sacramento and county of Sacramento to assist businesses through its minority business assistance recovery kickstart (mbark) program to assist businesses in need of technical assistance or consulting services to either start or grow their business. Mbark is a comprehensive,multi-pronged approach geared to assist minority small business owners in the community, providing contracting opportunities, business development training,workshops, and 1-on-1 consulting services. Mbark utilizes sacc's understanding and expertise on what minority small business owners may need and showcases how to proactively engage them in order to stabilize and grow their businesses.
