Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce

The Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce completed its fourteenth year of advocacy working with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legislative Conference. In 2023 the Chamber's focus was on how our collaborations work to build sustainability in our underrepresented communities. Meetings were also held with representatives from the Department of Commerce. Meetings were also held with our state's elected officials. The Chamber took it's largest delegation yet to Washington D.C. to represent our six county region. The Chamber's workshop included experts in the fields of energy, transportation, workforce development and education. Each expert discussed the work done in their respective fields and then showed how their work created collaborative opportunities to work with the other experts on the panel. The workshop was well received by members representing other parts of the country.With the support of the City and County of Sacramento, the Chamber also created programs providing technical assistance and training and consulting services to many startups and already established small businesses located in the City and County of Sacramento. Those programs have continued into 2024.
