Housing Stability: 97% of participants at Quinn Cottages remained housed, while the remaining 3% transitioned to permanent housing. Alumni actively engage in program events and activities, maintaining their own resident council.Benefits Enrollment: Within 60 days of occupancy, 100% of participants applied for mainstream entitlement benefits. Our staff provides ongoing support throughout this process, including referrals to SSI advocates when necessary.Vocational Skills Assessment: Within 90 days of entry, all participants complete a vocational skills and literacy assessment during intake. Those with identified barriers to employment are supported in taking action within 90 days. We have enhanced our intake procedures to include this assessment and increased the availability of on-site workshops, including resume building, interview skills, mock job interviews, study groups, and tutoring. We also offer extensive employment readiness workshops and encourage participants to access external employment and educational services, such as vocational rehabilitation, Pride, One-Stop Shops, and other agencies and schools.Comprehensive Assessments: Within nine months of residency, participants apply for mainstream benefits, including food stamps. Those who are ready to work or attend school are encouraged to do so within their first 90 days. A comprehensive bio/psych/social assessment addressing health and wellness issues, such as blood pressure, is conducted to document progress toward personal development goals.Personal Action Plans: 75% of new participants complete a Personal Action Plan that addresses identified needs, including medical treatment, counseling, physical exercise, living skills workshops, support groups, community service, and socialization activities. All progress is documented in the participants file. Within 45 days of residency, 75% of participants with substance use disorders were referred to appropriate recovery-based supportive services, and 75% with identified mental health issues were referred to suitable supportive services.
